Wladimiro Bedin born in 1950, after a degree in Electronic Engineering from Padova University (Italy), a research experience at KDD Research Labs (Tokyo – Japan), a Master in Business Administration (CUOA – Vicenza – Italy) and some years’ experience in the family Retail business, founded in 1989 BEDIN Shop Systems: a company specialized in software design for Retail Stores. In 2009 he co-founded EuroCloud Italy, a non profit organization part of EuroCloud Europe, and invited to speak at international congress about Cloud Computing new paradigms.
After several innovative steps, his company released aKite: the first POS & InStore SaaS designed from the ground to leverage the power of a modern Cloud PaaS, already adopted by a wide range of chains. Among several recognitions, at the 2010 Microsoft World Partner Conference in Washington D.C. (USA) aKite was defined one of the best 5 Cloud services based on Azure and in 2011 received the “National Innovation Award” from the Italian Republic President Giorgio Napolitano.
